Google Security or Domination?

Google Blocks All External Chrome Extensions in Windows

I rarely use the Google Chrome browser but I know many readers do. I keep it installed on my home computer to make sure this blog is rendering correctly for those who do view it with the Chrome. Last night I opened Chrome for the first time in awhile and found some of the extensions that did make it somewhat usable to me weren't active.

I checked the dashboard settings and found something very interesting......

Many of the extensions I used were disabled, and it was loaded with stuff enabled that I didn't install.  After disabling the phantom extensions (all were google apps) and scanning for malware,  I went looking for a reason for this. This is what I found:
"After months of Google talking up security problems with browser extensions, here is a bit of news which comes as no surprise.
Google announced today that users of the Windows version of its Chrome web browser can now only install extensions found in the Chrome Web Store. All other sources have been blocked as a security measure, and the ad network also announced it plans to impose a similar restriction on OSX users in July of this year.
Google had previously blocked extensions for users running the consumer distribution of Chrome, but they had also allowed those users who had opted in to the Developer release channel to continue installing extensions from outside the Chrome Web Store. And today Google closed that loophole.
They've adapted and started tricking users into switching to the developer channel so that the unwanted off-store extensions could be installed, and today Google responded by cutting them off. Now, all extension developers will have to play by Google’s rules, and all extensions will have to be approved for use in its store in order to be green-lit for broader use." (source)
Just a heads up to you Chrome users.  Got to keep an eye on these guys!

As for me, the work I do requires a browser built for power user's. Today, that pretty much narrows it down to one, The Opera Browser of old. A bit long in the tooth, Opera 12.16 fits our needs. For those not familiar with the legendary Opera Browser, it was built by the man who invented CSS (Custom Style Sheet) that makes this page possible to view.  Most features you find in today's browsers were innovations of Opera Software. Tab browsing and stacking, speed dials, bookmark managers, side panels and movable tool bars, mouse gestures and built in email client to name just a few of many.

So if you are interested in ditching your slow, bloated,  memory hog of a browser, he now has a new company and is developing an all new full feature browser that we are testing as the new standard for us. The Vivaldi.Browser. It's fast and promising, but not yet finished. Some technical features are not yet turned on.

Well, Isn't That Special

"I have never felt bigger, blacker or gayer than when I have had my nails done in a nail salon operated by Asian Americans. I found experimenting with wearing nail polish thrilling. But salons gave me anxiety, and now I know why... I have never felt as economically and racially exploitative as when I’ve gotten a manicure.
If I ever do paint my nails again, I’ll do the painting myself. That’s a discomfort I can live with....."

Perhaps Ms.Thrasher should quit feeling so bad about itself and take bull by the tail horns and capitalize on the situation. With  government taxpayer money set aside for minority business start ups, he could always open a line of black gay owned manicure and pedicure parlors catering exclusive (cause they can do that) to gays, trans-genders and drag queens. I tell ya, I'm seeing dollar signs here....

ABC 's New Sitcom Based on Hate-Mongering Gay Activist's Life

Embolden by the success of recent television hit shows that depict scenes of gay sex,  ABC/Disney has decided to double down and awarded a new TV show to one of the nations most outspoken gay spewers of hate and anti-Christian bigotry, Dan Savage.   Even worse, the sitcom will be based on his own life and ironically titled: "Family of the Year."

A perusal of Dan Savage's work reveals a career built on advocating violence, even murder, and spewing hatred against people of faith.

Here is a sample of the kind of person ABC sees as worthy of network television time (links courtesy of Freedom Outpost)
* Bullied former presidential candidate Rick Santorum via a internet campaign to redefine his last name, which fits the definition of cyber bullying. He even expressed the desire to rape Santorum on television.
* Claimed he licked door handles at Gary Bauer's campaign office in hopes of getting people sick.
* Pushed for mandatory abortions
* Called Christian students "pansies" in front of their peers and claimed the Bible was BS.
* Has wished Republicans were all dead (Isn't it interesting how these degenerates call for the deaths of those that oppose them? Yet, play the victim when law is upheld against them? (And I'm still not hearing anyone in the gay activist community rebuke this guy's comments.)
* Used vile language against Ben Carson
* Said he wished Carl Romanelli was dragged behind a pickup truck till nothing was left but the rope.
* Expressed the desire to sexually assault actor Brad Pitt.
His advocation of violence resulted in this:
Recently the Family Research Council released video footage of Floyd Corkins, the homosexual activist who walked into the lobby of the Family Research Council in August 2012 with a semi-automatic pistol and a backpack filled with 100 rounds of ammunition and 15 Chick-fil-A sandwiches. Corkins shot the Family Research Council’s security guard, Leo Johnson, who then successfully subdued him before he was taken into custody.
During an FBI interrogation, Corkins stated that he intended to “kill as many as possible and smear the Chick-fil-A sandwiches in victims’ faces.”
Prosecutors said that Corkins planned to leave FRC after the attack and go to another conservative group to continue the reign of terror. A handwritten list of three other groups was found with Corkins’ belongings. An investigation of Corkins’ computer found that he identified his targets on the Southern Poverty Law Center’s website.

An Important Message From MFNS

Despite our best efforts to ignore him altogether, the one known as 'The Earl of Taint' is today in celebration of the 3rd Anniversary of his blog 'THE RIGHTLY GUIDED EARL OF TAINT'

If you are a FOE (Fan of Earl) or if you're not you should be, go by Earl's Place and congratulate him, and throw some love his way. The incomparable Mr.Taint's wit and timely take on current events of the day is second to none in our book.

Rumors Confirmed: Barack Goes with the South Side

Chicago Trib
The exact site of the Barack Obama presidential library and museum won't be determined for six to nine months, but for many, the critical piece of information confirmed Tuesday is that the president chose Chicago's South Side to be the home of his legacy.
Ledroy and Demarcus, South Side Chicago Residents Were Elated at the Announcement
Ultimately, Barack and Michelle decided to return to their roots," Obama Foundation Chairman Martin Nesbitt said in making the formal announcement shortly after noon Tuesday in Chicago:
"The same streets where a young community organizer once inspired his community to take action will serve as the home base for a foundation that will organize and inspire people of all backgrounds and beliefs to better their communities, their country and their world."
Barrack in His South Side Community Organizing Days
The Barack Obama Presidential Center likely will open in 2020 or 2021, Nesbitt said.
Many questions and thorny issues are ahead: how much the surrounding community will benefit; whether longtime residents will be driven out; and how the center and public infrastructure surrounding it will be funded.
But for the moment, Chicago is setting aside its reputation for political gamesmanship and celebrating.
"I'm not going to compare this to when the president was elected," said Ghian Foreman, a lifelong South Sider who was active in bringing the library here. "But it's the same kind of thing, where you could take a deep breath. It's this feeling of elation and a collective sigh of relief, that, after all these weeks, it's really here."
The president and first lady Michelle Obama first announced that the library would be on the South Side via a video posted on the foundation website at 5 a.m. Tuesday.
Michelle Obama said in the video that she was "thrilled to be able to put this resource in the heart of the neighborhood that means the world to me. Every value, every memory, every important relationship to me exists in Chicago. I consider myself a South Sider."
"All the strands of my life came together and I really became a man when I moved to Chicago," the president said in the video. "That's where I was able to apply that early idealism to try to work in communities in public service. That's where I met my wife. That's where my children were born."
