On at least on one prior occasion I stated my antipathy toward the subject of race and the progressives' incessant calls to talk about race...

Unlike liberals who see what they believe, conservatives tend to believe what we see. We do not see a country in the grip of racial tension, at least not until the charlatans begin to act. I always harken back to my years in Sri Lanka; now, my friends, there was a country ripped open by a genocidal ethnic hatred stirred up by politicians. I saw the same process in Guyana and throughout much of the Caribbean: ordinary people getting along until rabble rousers arrive and drive wedges between them. 

In sum, we have had way too many conversations about race. Let's stop talking about race, stop giving opportunities to those who would divide us.

Let me be blunt: I find that discussions of race quickly get boring, idiotic, inconclusive, and, often, verbally and even physically violent. Race tells you very little if anything about a person and his or her attributes except, perhaps, for some inconsequential physical ones. (Culture is a much more interesting topic, but, progressives don't want to talk about that.) To keep pushing the topic of race can and will force even the most tolerant and open of people (as discussed here, for example) eventually to reach their limit and fight back. The Screws Tighten Around Ma Clinton

Valerie Jarrett, who first put the screws to Hillary Clinton by leaking information about her e-mail problems, appears to be tightening them.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the inspector general of the intelligence community has found that at least four emails from Hillary’s personal account contained information that was classified at the second highest level of secrecy at the time that she sent them. Uh…I mean “at the time that they were sent.” The IG referred the matter to the FBI’s counterintelligence division. The Justice Department first disclosed that the investigation was criminal in nature, but later it inexplicably reversed itself on that point.

This is interesting because of the timing of the Administration's leak to the New York Times, its favorite stenographer, as it came just days after Hillary went out on a limb and committed herself to supporting the Iran nuke deal. The Administration badly needed this support, because of the number of Democrats that Hillary’s support would bring. So giving it was very much like telling the thugs who are holding you hostage where you’ve hidden the money. Once they know, they don’t need you anymore.

The Justice Department has pulled back on calling the investigation “criminal,” but it can always reverse itself again. So Valerie Jarrett has Hillary just where she wants her: Hillary will do and say anything to keep the Administration happy and herself out of jail. For once, she and Bill are playing with guys who play even less nice than they do.

In the end, the Administration can make her go away and insert Joe Biden in her place. Or, it can keep her around and Valerie can have another president on the end of her puppet strings.

Special Ed Schultz Heads Back to the Short Bus

The website Mediaite is reporting MSNBC, NBC News retarded step-sister, is axing everyone's favorite angry white guy, the screaming crazy uncle, Ed Schultz. "Special Ed", known for comments like Jews were not the real target of the Holocaust, it was about the gays, often pulled better ratings then the pointless effeminate droning of  "Chris Hayes and All In" at 8 PM.  But Hayes is a favorite of MSNBC boss Phil Griffin (yeah, we know what's gonna on there, don't we), while the network head has been trying to get rid of crazy Ed for years.

MSNBC had decided months ago that they would be dumping their liberal hosts in favor of people like NBC's milk toast Chuck Todd and a rehabilitated Brian Williams in order to regain some respectability. *cough*  It's said by some that the MSNBC leadership completely mistreated their poor uninformed liberal audience, and when the audience walked away in mass, the network used the declining ratings as an excuse to blame liberals. (I suspect it was their unemployment ran out and they lost the cable service).

The only hosts that seem to not be in the target at the network are some guy named Joe Scarborough and the gender confused little Ricky Maddow.  Al Sharpton, the network's in-house political philosopher and linguistics expert at "Politics Nation with Al Sharpton" has apparently seen the shining glean of the axe blade and announced his own media watchdogg blog called “The Shift Daily”, which he may come to regret the choice of name. (Stay tuned for some hilarity coming from that site). 

Hit hardest by the move to remove Special Ed was Presidential Candidate Sen. Bernie Sanders, who blasted MSNBC in a statement for canceling Schultz and removing one of the few voices who would give the nutty fucker a place to vent his socialist nonsense on television:

"I am very disappointed that Comcast chose to remove Ed Schultz from its lineup. We need more people who talk about the real issues facing our country, not fewer.

At a time when a handful of large, multi-national corporations own our major media outlets, I hope they will allow voices to be heard from those who dissent from the corporate media agenda bla bla bla...."

I alway thought Ed missed his calling as a used car salesman.

The Democrats are terrified of Bernie Sanders. They love him, they agree with him and they think he would make a great president. But they’re petrified that he will be their nominee because they know very few people with more than three brain cells will vote for a self proclaimed socialist as President of the United States. 

The latest example of this terrified frenzy is Barney Frank’s 1,000-word rant against Bernie. He implores Democrats not to support Bernie. Even though they love him, adore him … almost worship him.

[Bernie] has consistently, forcefully and cogently made the case for a larger federal government role in improving both the fairness and the quality of life in our country, refusing to soft-pedal in the face of declining support for this view in public opinion.

Sounds great! How about Bernie’s stand against the War in Iraq and Hillary’s support of it?

I agree that her position on the war is a legitimate concern for those of us on the left. The question then becomes whether this was a manifestation of a general tendency to support unwise military intervention, or the case of her joining every other Democratic senator who had serious presidential ambitions in voting for a war that the Bush-Cheney administration had successfully hyped as a necessary defense against terrorism. While I wish that she, Joe Biden and John Kerry had not been spooked into believing that no one who voted no would have the national security merit badge required to win the presidency, I regard liberal senators’ support for the Iraq War as a response to a given fraught political situation rather than an indication of their basic policy stance — like Obama’s off-again, on-again support for same-sex marriage. (Yes, I am saying that in deciding whether or not to support a candidate with whom I have disagreed on a fundamental issue, I am more at ease if it was a one-time political accommodation rather than a genuine conviction.)
