The main issues in American politics are mass immigration, demographic change, and the new Culture War against implicit symbols of white identity. A celebrity businessman is now the leading GOP candidate for president only because of his banal truism that illegals from Mexico commit crimes. The overwhelmingly white base of the Republican Party is coping with the brutal reality that European-Americans will be a minority in the country they created. Even the Left is gripped in internecine warfare as an older generation of white progressives grapple with a multicultural monster of its own creation, as minority activists would rather agitate about “white privilege” than suffer through boring speeches about jobs or infrastructure.

Immigrants aren't conservative, because there's nothing in this country for them to conserve. The #cuckservative doesn't get that.

The racial question is at the center of American politics and culture. Every new controversy or scandal simply reveals a new facet of the issue racially conscious whites have been debating for decades.

At a time when the Republican Party ostensibly controls Congress, President Obama is unilaterally enacting racially charged policies on immigration, housing, and law enforcement that will have incalculable consequences for ordinary Americans–and there has been no real resistance from the majority party. The only notable thing the Republican-controlled legislature has done is pass a secret trade agreement that has the effect of enabling more immigration–“the worst bill Congress has ever passed,” in the words of Phyllis Schlafly. On top of all this, Justice John Roberts–appointed by George W. Bush–has cemented the legitimacy of Obamacare.

Conservatives should be steamrolling a lame-duck president. Instead, the GOP might as well not exist. Grassroots Republicans who thought they had retaken the government are confused, angry, and powerless. They worked for Republicans in good faith, but get only scorn and contempt. DiploMad 2.0: In Defense of White Dudes

On at least on one prior occasion I stated my antipathy toward the subject of race and the progressives' incessant calls to talk about race...

Unlike liberals who see what they believe, conservatives tend to believe what we see. We do not see a country in the grip of racial tension, at least not until the charlatans begin to act. I always harken back to my years in Sri Lanka; now, my friends, there was a country ripped open by a genocidal ethnic hatred stirred up by politicians. I saw the same process in Guyana and throughout much of the Caribbean: ordinary people getting along until rabble rousers arrive and drive wedges between them. 

In sum, we have had way too many conversations about race. Let's stop talking about race, stop giving opportunities to those who would divide us.

Let me be blunt: I find that discussions of race quickly get boring, idiotic, inconclusive, and, often, verbally and even physically violent. Race tells you very little if anything about a person and his or her attributes except, perhaps, for some inconsequential physical ones. (Culture is a much more interesting topic, but, progressives don't want to talk about that.) To keep pushing the topic of race can and will force even the most tolerant and open of people (as discussed here, for example) eventually to reach their limit and fight back. The Screws Tighten Around Ma Clinton

Valerie Jarrett, who first put the screws to Hillary Clinton by leaking information about her e-mail problems, appears to be tightening them.

The Wall Street Journal reports that the inspector general of the intelligence community has found that at least four emails from Hillary’s personal account contained information that was classified at the second highest level of secrecy at the time that she sent them. Uh…I mean “at the time that they were sent.” The IG referred the matter to the FBI’s counterintelligence division. The Justice Department first disclosed that the investigation was criminal in nature, but later it inexplicably reversed itself on that point.

This is interesting because of the timing of the Administration's leak to the New York Times, its favorite stenographer, as it came just days after Hillary went out on a limb and committed herself to supporting the Iran nuke deal. The Administration badly needed this support, because of the number of Democrats that Hillary’s support would bring. So giving it was very much like telling the thugs who are holding you hostage where you’ve hidden the money. Once they know, they don’t need you anymore.

The Justice Department has pulled back on calling the investigation “criminal,” but it can always reverse itself again. So Valerie Jarrett has Hillary just where she wants her: Hillary will do and say anything to keep the Administration happy and herself out of jail. For once, she and Bill are playing with guys who play even less nice than they do.

In the end, the Administration can make her go away and insert Joe Biden in her place. Or, it can keep her around and Valerie can have another president on the end of her puppet strings.
