A Dog's Thoughts on Pink Floyd

by Burghal Hidage

Not long ago I was introduced to a meditation channel. It is not the sort of thing I would seek out on my own, but I actually sat and listened to it for a few minutes. Within a very short time it had formed a reminiscence of a Pink Floyd song from their famed LP Ummagumma, 'Grantchester Meadows'. I then forced myself to sit and listen to some more of this channel. I came to a conclusion. Someone identified the need to create one of these channels (actually there are several) and there are people checking in. This can not be a bad thing if it leads to more people finding their chill and not being such colossal dicks all the time.

Or...they could just listen to Pink Floyd! There are certain standout pieces from the band's portfolio which appear with regularity in my various playlists. As I was caused to make a review of these I made a discovery that rather surprised me. There were no tracks from the 'Animals' LP on any of the lists. Naturally my reaction was to cue it up and give it a listen.

The change of season has brought with it no shortage of grey, miserably damp, chill days upon which to spend contemplating these weighty matters. I happened to have at hand an intriguing new strain from my botanist, the 'Montana Flowering Dogweed', which I employed to good use for the occasion. Both were consumed in the dark, save for the light of the fire. Pink Floyd has always served as a fine soundtrack for any blaze.

Sir Matthau
For those who are unfamiliar, and those who may have simply forgotten, Pigs (three different ones) was on side two of the original vinyl. The lead off of the LP is the plaintive Pigs on the Wing, followed then by the stark and brooding piece Dogs. Beginning at the 6:14 mark of side one there is a segment of about 45 seconds where there are the barks and howls of various hounds.

Where I sat enjoying this my dog, Matthau, was at my feet and I noted his ears prick up slightly at this point. In the idle chatter one often engages with their pets I asked " Well, old boy! Know what they're saying, do you?" He gave me one of those looks, as dogs sometimes do, which seemed to question my sanity. He raised his massive head to snuff once at the smoke billowing from the glass bong and then rose from the floor to pad across the room and take a seat in the chair opposite me. I wasn't expecting an answer and his behavior, though somewhat odd, was not entirely out of the ordinary.

Then he began to speak......
" The dogs, yes... they do go on there a bit, don't they? Rather funny, that...."
He was sounding a bit like Alec Guinness.
"Matthau? I didn't know you could talk!"
"Of course I can speak, you pillock! I'm an English Mastiff, not some Neapolitan dullard!"
"No offense, Matthau! I just wonder why you waited until now!"
"It's the Dogweed, old bean. Otherwise you're too thick to hear it."
"Is that it?"
"You have a better explanation?"
"I do not."
"Well, there it is then."
" I suppose you're right, boy. We'll have to ask Carlton to get us some more of this soon. So what are those dogs saying anyway?"
"Oh they're banging on about what worthless sods their agents were. Couldn't even negotiate a reasonable royalties contract, could they?"
"Really? You're putting me on!"
"Am I? Perhaps you'd like corroboration from another hound?"
His point was well taken and I surely had no reason to doubt him. After repeated attempts at contact, Roger Waters has declined any comment upon the matter.

The Growing Anti-Semitism of Leftist Intellectuals of Color Continues to Ooze Out into the Open

Alice Walker
As we all know, the left has decided that black people cannot be racist or antisemitic. We were reminded of this again recently by anti-semitic leadership of the "Women's" March. This type of hypocritical logic continues apologetically amongst our intellectual betters....
Over the weekend, the New York Times Book Review published a full-length interview with Alice Walker, the Pulitzer Prize-winning author of The Color Purple. The very first question: “What books are on your nightstand?” Walker replied with four, the second of which was:
"And the Truth Shall Set You Free,” by David Icke. In Icke’s books there is the whole of existence, on this planet and several others, to think about. A curious person’s dream come true."
This passed without comment from the New York Times interviewer, and the publication passed it on to readers without qualification. This is rather remarkable because the book is an unhinged anti-Semitic conspiracy tract written by one of Britain’s most notorious anti-Semites.
A former soccer player turned professional hate peddler, Icke is one of the most influential conspiracy theorists in Europe, and certainly in Britain. Today, he has over 777,000 followers on Facebook, and speaks to audiences around the world. Like many conspiracy theorists, Icke claims that a secret conspiracy controls the world. And like many conspiracy theorists, Icke claims that this secret conspiracy happens to be Jewish.
In And The Truth Shall You Free, the word “Jewish” appears 241 times, and the name “Rothschild” is mentioned 374 times. These references are not compliments. Indeed, the book was so obviously anti-Semitic that Icke’s publisher refused to publish it, and he had to print it himself.  The chapter titles of the work (“Master Races,” “The Hidden Hand”), anti-Semitism is not incidental to Icke’s book, it is essential. It is impossible to miss it.
It seems strange to me that the left has indicted the entire right for an anti-semitism which scarcely exists and does so only at the fringiest of fringes, and yet when one of their own engages in straight-up, no-question-about-it Real-Deal-Holyfield anti-semitism, they actively spread the doctrine. But David Icke isn't just anti-semitic. He's also anti-reptilian.
"Icke proposes that an inter-dimensional race of reptilian beings called the Archons have hijacked the earth and are stopping humanity from realising its true potential. He claims they are the same beings as the Anunnaki, deities from the Babylonian creation myth the Enuma Elis...." Icke believes that a genetically modified human/Archon hybrid race of shape-shifting reptilians manipulate global events to keep humans in constant fear.
It should be pointed out that many people think that given that Icke is both a Holocaust denier/Holocaust apologist, and a believer in world control by a shape-shifting half-reptilian race, he intends people to read his Lizard People theory as a disguised indictment of the Jews...."
This is the book that Alice Walker recommended to New York Times readers. That a celebrated and honored cultural figure like Walker would promote such a self-evidently unhinged bigot might seem surprising at first glance. But this is only because the cultural establishment has spent years studiously looking away from Walker’s public praise of Icke and his work, and her own repeated expressions of anti-semitism.

New York AG-elect Gives New Meaning to the Word Thug

Previous New York Attorney Generals have worked to weaponize the office for the purpose of investigating any possible illegal activities concerning anything Trump. But the new AG-elect, Letitia James, vows to go one step further than her predecessors, going full on thug and threatening to get him any way she can, even to go as far as attempting to change NY laws to do so.

Once the toast of NY, awarded for his civic activities, support of civil rights, and charity to the people of NYC, there should be no doubt left in anyone's mind that now DJT is marked for an open and public take down, any way possible, his family name smeared and anyone associated with him suspect.

A perfect tool, James, being black is untouchable by criticism is signaling the possible use of tactics not even used against mobsters and Organized Crime.
NBC - New York Attorney Gen.-elect Letitia James says she plans to launch sweeping investigations into President Donald Trump, his family and "anyone" in his circle who may have violated the law.
James campaigned on passing a bill to change New York's double jeopardy laws. James told NBC News she wants to be able to pursue state charges against anyone the president were to pardon over federal charges or convictions and whose alleged crimes took place in the state. Under current New York law, she might not be able to do that.
"We will use every area of the law to investigate President Trump and his business transactions and that of his family as well," James, a Democrat, told NBC News in her first extensive interview since she was elected last month. She's also enlisting help from some prosecutorial heavy hitters, like former U.S. Attorney General Loretta Lynch, as a part of her transition to help her identify important hires for her office with an eye on bringing in experts for its Trump-related investigations.
Some of the probes she intends to pursue with regard to the president, his businesses and his family members include:
  • Any potential illegalities involving Trump's real estate holdings in New York.
  • The June 2016 Trump Tower meeting with a Russian official.
  • Examine government subsidies Trump received
  • Whether he is in violation of the emoluments clause in the U.S. Constitution through his New York businesses.
  • Continue to probe the Trump Foundation.
Harvard Law professor emeritus Alan Dershowitz told NBC News that the president has "considerably more vulnerability" when faced with New York state investigations because he can't hold out the offer of pardons or fire investigators, though he said James' scope would be limited to matters occurring before Trump became president. - MORE

Regardless what happens in the future as far as DJT's presidency, good or bad, this man, his family and people within sphere of influence will be smeared and harassed for the rest of their lives if the left and their fellow travelers in the media are allowed to continue to run amok in America.

The New Punks. Chuck & Nancy

If you watched the footage from the meeting with DJT, their body language speaks volumes. No amount of blathering from either of them could disguise the fact that they were both rhetorically pantsed by the president on national television. And the cherry on top was Pelosi spewing loudly about how she and the Democrat House are going to be totally transparent, unlike the Republicans, and then within a nano-second she insisted that the TV cameras be turned off and removed from the room. Brilliant. - J.J.Sefton

Look Chuck. Look!
