Touché: Electoral College Video Edited Perfectly into a Pro-Trump Ad.......

Last week, a group of celebrities — or at least people living in Hollywood — released a video urging Monday’s Electoral College members to abandon their obligation to vote for President-elect Donald Trump.  Another group had a different idea for the actors, and re-made the repetitive, unoriginal video into one with a much different message.

The group of current and retired celebrities have not commented on the new edit of their heartfelt, yet ineffective message.

Barky Gives the President-Elect His Valuable Advice

Before grabbing the Moose, moms Robinson and the kids to fly away for their final lavish taxpayer funded vacation as first family, Barky took time off from trying to delegitimize Trump's presidency to sit down for an interview with National Public Radio. He touched on a lot of subjects like Russian hacking and “fake news” but those complaints are old news. His biggest new revelation is that he doesn't want Trump running the country the same way he did. If there were an award for lack of self-awareness, not only would Obama win it this year, he'd be inducted into the hall of fame. 

Mr. "Pen and Phone" actually warned President-elect Donald Trump to not overuse his power by issuing too many executive orders. For those of you trying to block the memory of the past 8 years, Obama ran most of his presidency bypassing Congress and legislating from the White House with executive action.

"Keep in mind, though, that my strong preference has always been to legislate when I can get legislation done. In my first two years, I wasn't relying on executive powers, because I had big majorities in the Congress and we were able to get bills done, get bills passed. And even after we lost the majorities in Congress, I bent over backwards consistently to try to find compromise and a legislative solution to some of the big problems that we've got — a classic example being immigration reform, where I held off for years in taking some of the executive actions that I ultimately took in pursuit of a bipartisan solution — one that, by the way, did pass through the Senate on a bipartisan basis with our help."

I wonder what color the sky is in Obama's fantasy world. I would like for him to give any examples of himself bending over backwards to reach a bipartisan compromise on anything. His modus operandi was to publicly shame the Republicans for not bowing before him and then telling them they were going to do things “my way or the highway.” He never met with any GOP member of Congress for any reason, choosing to communicate through snarky TV interviews and DNC fund-raiser speeches.

Without  an ounce of self-awareness Obama had this “advice” for the incoming president:

"So my suggestion to the president-elect is, you know, going through the legislative process is always better, in part because it’s harder to undo."  

That's kind of like Obama telling Trump he shouldn't lie about doctors or waste taxpayer money on endless vacations. Obama has used executive orders excessively, though he often called them "executive actions" to make it seem less despotic.  Obama's only accomplishments after 8 years in the White House are the result of his executive actions, and he knows as easily as he signed them, Trump can toss them in the trash.

He's basically saying to Trump, “please don't undo my pathetic legacy” and in typical Obama fashion, he's being a dick about it.

Exclusive: MFNS Obtains CIA Proof of Putin's Attempt to Influence Election

MFNS - A foreign language expert working for the Central Intelligence Agency has confirmed to Middle Finger News under deep cover that Russian president Vladimir Putin was responsible for a rash of so-called "fake advice pieces" supposedly written by syndicated columnist Jeanne Phillips and intended to sway voter opinion.

Marian Audry, a 66-year-old retired kindergarten teacher from New Hampshire, was the first to notice that the content of  Phillip's  "Dear Abby" columns appearing in her local newspaper, The Terdbury Times, had for several days been uncharacteristically mean-spirited and clumsily worded.  The Times editor contacted Ms. Phillip's editor, who turned the investigation over to higher authorities. They went on to discover that for weeks and in many newspapers all across the country, Phillips's actual advice had been replaced by the writings of an impostor.

The CIA soon got involved and determined that hackers inside Russia got into the servers of dozens of U.S. print newspapers and news sites, ensuring that the fake replies to readers who had asked for help would be printed instead of the actual, helpful ones approved by Phillip's editor. 

"For weeks, I thought that my beloved Dear Abby had gone off the rails, especially when she advised a depressed mother from Denver to leave her family, quit her job, and begin a furious social media campaign to let the world know that Hillary Clinton was behind the 9/11 attacks and has the mark of the beast tattooed on her left butt cheek."

CIA Forensic Linguist Paul E. Ester III, who specializes in Slavic languages and completed a PhD dissertation examining the Russian president's awkward love letters to his ex-wife, Lyudmila, told Middle Finger News on an agreement of anonymity, that he has "no doubt" that Putin himself composed all the fake "Dear Abby" replies, which a total of 186 were discovered

"Here's a man so bent on getting Donald Trump elected, he took time off from supervising military operations in Syria to infiltrate our country and violate the most sacred of relationships in America, that between an advice columnist and her loyal readers."

Speaking to a room of scientists Wednesday, California Gov. Jerry Brown vowed to protect the state's progress in the fight against global warming and challenge any attempt by Donald Trump to interfere with climate science.

"We've got the scientists, we've got the lawyers, and we're ready to fight. We're ready to defend. California is no stranger to this fight.. Whatever Washington thinks they are doing, California is the future."

And in true classic Jerry Brown style he suggested the state might even launch its own space program if Trump follows through with his advisers' efforts to end NASA's role in climate science.

"If Trump turns off the satellites, California will launch its own damn satellite," Brown said to loud applause. "We're going to collect that data."

"A lot of people say, ‘What the hell are you doing, Brown? You’re not a country. We will set the stage. We’ll set the example and whatever Washington thinks they are doing, California is the future.”

Brown threw so much shade in so many directions that solar panels in the immediate area experienced a brief decrease in output.  He singled out the “clowns” at Breitbart for mocking California’s efforts to reduce methane emissions from agriculture and landfill as merely regulating “cow farts,” although frankly, we think Gov. Brown may be missing an opportunity to enlist the inherent hilarity of cow farts in the fight against greenhouse gases.

A new report from Politico Wednesday illustrates the stunning extent to which the campaign of Hillary Clinton was blind to Donald Trump’s potential challenge in Wisconsin, Michigan and Pennsylvania.

In a decision that is sure to be second-guessed by political observers for all eternity, interim DNC Chair Donna Brazile hatched a plan to spend money to drive up inner-city turnout in places like Chicago and New Orleans, even though neither Illinois nor Louisiana was remotely competitive, because of fear that Clinton would win the Electoral College vote but lose the popular vote. So confident was the Clinton campaign of their Electoral College win that they refused requests to reallocate resources to places like Michigan because they did not want to risk the public relations nightmare that would come along with losing the popular vote.

"Millions were approved for transfer from Clinton’s campaign for use by the DNC — which, under a plan devised by Donna Brazile to drum up urban turnout out of fear that Trump would win the popular vote while losing the electoral vote, got dumped into Chicago and New Orleans, far from anywhere that would have made a difference in the election......."

"It was already November when the campaign finally reached out to the White House to get President Barack Obama into Michigan, a state that he’d worked hard and won by large margins in 2008 and 2012. In the end, of course, Clinton ended up winning the popular vote by a relatively comfortable margin, almost the exact same margin that President George W. Bush enjoyed in 2004 when he defeated John Kerry.  But  abject failure to understand the strategic situation on the ground led to a crushing Electoral College loss.

UN Pulls Large Breasted White Woman's Ambassadorship After Complaints

A voluptuous American icon has been dropped as a Special United Nations Ambassador after a viral petition called for her removal because she’s depicted as an attractive white woman.

The petition, allegedly written by “Concerned United Nations staff members” and addressed to UN Secretary-General Ban Ki-moon, calls for the U.N. to “reconsider” their choice of Wonder Woman for the role of Honorary Ambassador for the Empowerment of Women and Girls.

The petition authors took offense to Wonder Woman being a “large breasted, white woman,” despite admitting she was created as a feminist icon:

"Wonder Woman was created 75 years ago. Although the original creators may have intended Wonder Woman to represent a strong and independent “warrior” woman with a feminist message, the reality is that the character's current iteration is that of a large breasted, white woman of impossible proportions, scantily clad in a shimmery, thigh-baring body suit with an American flag motif and knee high boots –the epitome of a “pin-up” girl."

The petition reached over 44,000 signatures, just short of its 45,000 goal, before the U.N. decided to pull the character. The Wonder Woman appointment came after many women were dismayed that another man, Antonio Guterres, the former prime minister of Portugal, was chosen to be the next secretary-general, even though more than half the candidates were women.

This is how silly feminist thinking has come. Wonder Women was not created 75 years ago to empower little girls. If it wasn't for horny pimple faced 13 year old boys who read comic books, no one would know who Wonder Women is.

Obama Raiding Domestic Programs for Illegals

He Will Be F'ing Us Till His last Day In Office

The theft garnered $167 million from domestic programs in order to fund illegals for just one month.

The Department of Health and Human Services is raiding several of its accounts, including money for Medicare to cover a shortfall in housing illegal youths pouring over the border at a rate of 255 a day.

HHS is trying to come up with $167 million to fund the Office of Refugee Resettlement that is accepting the youths, according to the Center for Immigration Studies. Policy Director Jessica Vaughan said that insiders have told her that the funding crisis has forced the department to squeeze programs for money.

She revealed this on the CIS website:

"An average of 255 illegal alien youths were taken into the custody of the Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR) every day this month, according to the latest figures the agency provided to Congress. This is the largest number of illegal alien children ever in the care of the federal government. To pay for it, the agency says it will need an additional one or two billion dollars for the next year – above and beyond the $1.2 billion spent in 2016 and proposed for 2017 – depending on how many more arrive. For now, the Secretary of the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), where ORR resides, is diverting $167 million from other programs to cover the cost of services for these new illegal arrivals."

Medicare isn’t the only program he’s burglarizing.

The Washington Examiner lists the other programs being raided to take care of illegals:

* $14 million from the Health Resources and Services Administration, including $4.5 million from the Ryan White HIV/AIDS Program and $2 million from the Maternal and Child Health program.

* $14 million from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, for contagious disease  prevention and treatment and other critical public health programs.

* $72 million from the National Institutes of Health, for research on cancer, diabetes, drug  abuse, mental health, infectious diseases and much more.

* $8 million from the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration, for  treatment and prevention programs.

* $8 million from the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services.

* $39 million from the Children and Families Services Program.

* $4 million from the Aging and Disability Services Programs.

* $3 million from the Public Health and Social Services Emergency Fund, including more than $1 million from the Pandemic Influenza and BioShield Fund.”

CIA-WaPo Suspicious “election hack” Claim

“The CIA says” is never a great way to start a sentence. But that’s the basis of the latest charge that Russia hacked the US presidential election.

Members of Congress have now been secretly briefed by the CIA on “the Russian affair,” and media, led by the Washington Post, are running with the story that Russia influenced the US election on the side of Trump. Until and unless the denizens of Langley decide to show specific and convincing evidence for their claim, this is disinformation.

It’s easy to assemble a circumstantial case. But each case has to be judged on its own merits, and the devil is in the details. If we aren’t privy to those details in the “Russian affair,” no judgement is possible. Of course, major media outlets don’t seem bothered by that. They’re happy to cite the CIA as an authority—conveniently ignoring the fact that people in the intelligence field are taught to lie. It’s their stock in trade.

You might remember the Washington Post’s role in defaming and destroying a reporter named Gary Webb, who published a series of articles in the Mercury News about the CIA seeding black Los Angeles neighborhoods with crack cocaine. The Post basically asked the CIA whether the charge was true, and when the Agency denied it, the Post attacked Webb as a “fake news” reporter. The same Washington Post is now leading the campaign to tie the Russian government to Hillary Clinton’s defeat. And the Post, once again, is using unproven statements from the CIA to back up their claim.

You could go on and on about the Post and its historic CIA ties. But now, right now, the owner of the Post is Jeff Bezos, who also owns Amazon. And Amazon has a $600 million contract to provide the CIA cloud computing services.

Boom.

Ordinarily, that would be called a fatal conflict of interest, whenever the Post opens up its yap about the CIA in any context. However, mainstream news outlets, the very big ones, don’t go around criticizing each other’s ownerships; so the Bezos-CIA relationship is conveniently ignored and left “in the past.”

And who exactly are the fake news outlet?

Louisiana voters have chosen Republican state Treasurer John Kennedy to fill the state's open U.S. Senate seat, giving the GOP a 52-48 edge in the chamber. Saturday's election settled the nation's last Senate seat for the term beginning in January. Kennedy was the front-runner the entire run-off campaign.  

He defeated Democrat Foster Campbell, the state utility regulator going away by 30+ points.  The victory was a long-sought one for Kennedy, an Oxford-educated lawyer in his fifth term as treasurer. Kennedy had tried unsuccessfully twice before to win a U.S. Senate seat, running first in 2004.  

No democrat now holds a Senate seat in any of the Southern States.  Republicans swept all three Louisiana congressional run-off races in todays vote.

The organist will do his level best to play traditional Mena music, vendors will serve Mena delicacies, and a chorus of Mena-American children will sing the national anthem.

Huh? What on earth is Mena, you ask? It is the new ethnic group created by the Obama administration to cobble together Americans with origins in the Middle East and North Africa. The group will comprise people as varied as ethnic Berbers, Arabs, Israelis, Persians, and many more. According to proposals by the Office of Management and Budget, Mena may be on the 2020 census.

But if that is the case, you may persist, there is no Mena music, cuisine, race, ethnicity, or culture, so what the heck are they going to be doing at Busch Stadium? And you’d be right, technically. But that wouldn’t stop pride in Menaism from being progressively drilled into the young and unsuspecting by our schools or from being embraced by corporations and sports leagues that want to buy a little peace. And, of course, let’s not forget how government would bribe people to tick the Mena box with the full array of benefits that come in the affirmative-action cornucopia. Or that congressional districts would be carved off for Mena people so that they would be able, in the words of the amended Voting Rights Act, “to participate in the political process and to elect a candidate of their choice.”

If you doubt that all of this is possible, much less likely, then you really haven’t been watching what has happened with “Hispanics.”

There’s no better blueprint for Mena.  Hispanics comprise Americans as different from one another culturally, racially, and historically as Argentines, Mexicans, Bolivians, Dominicans, and Venezuelans.  And yet millions of Millennials today believe they eat Hispanic food, dance to Latino music, and study Hispanic history.

Indeed, many Cuban Americans, Puerto Ricans, Mexican Americans, etc. themselves are now starting to identify themselves as Hispanic or Latino, a classification that came into being only in the 1970s and is the creation of federal bureaucrats with no input from scientists or anthropologists.

Why is the OMB pushing the proposal now? Well, time is running out on an administration that puts so much stock in demography that one of its first acts was to make the head of the Census Bureau report directly to the White House.

So the deep racial division which is so obvious at the end of Obama’s term is no accident. It is the legacy of a president who did much to foster it. The view that groups, not individuals, have distinct interests has taken its predictable toll. The social splintering has only begun.

U.S. to Add Al-gebra to List of Terror Organisations

MFNS - The United States is moving to add followers of the Mysterious Islamic Cult System Al-Gebra to its list of terror organizations today. The move follows an incident by a follower of Algebra who was praying loudly while practicing his beliefs on an overseas flight, leading to a security alert.

Founded by Mohammed al-Khwarizmi in Central Asia in the 9th century,  Al-gebra has brought nothing but despair and misery ever since, especially during year 6 math lessons. Al-Gebra is described as an ‘inhuman system’ which teaches initiates that everything can be replaced with a number.

Followers are expected to devote their lives to finding a mysterious and eternally unknowable entity known as ‘X’, a process which involves complex rituals and often a great deal of prayer. A common Al-Gebra prayer is said to go “Oh, God, this is impossible. Just please tell me what the hell X is.”

Many children exposed to Al-Gebra teachings report feelings of horror and anger, especially if it's just before Physical Education Class. It’s often quite easy to spot the more devoted Al-Gebra follower, as they "tend to have a beard, leather patches on the elbows of their jackets and smoke a pipe,” we were told.

Many play Dungeons and Dragons as well, and that's always a cause for concern.

A spokesman for Homeland Security told MFNS "the public can be reassured that we have well-developed and robust algorithms to help us keep the public safe."

WFB- Nebraska Democratic Party chair Jane Kleeb said in an interview with RT that she is afraid Russia and Saudi Arabia will build oil pipelines through the United States while Donald Trump is president.

Kleeb brought up her concern while speaking with host Ed Schultz about the the ongoing controversy surrounding the Dakota Access Pipeline project and her strong opposition to the Keystone XL Pipeline.

“You know what Trump is saying, that he’s going to get rid of the executive order that requires the State Department to review any pipeline that crosses our U.S. border.  And that’s obviously very dangerous because if he does that, that means a pipeline from Saudi Arabia, Russia, whoever that wants to cross into the United States would literally have no federal oversight, no review, no environmental review. No federal agency right now other than the State Department reviews those pipelines when it crosses one of our borders, so he’s being reckless.”

Schultz is currently a host on RT, a television network funded by the Russian government that critics argue is a propaganda tool of the Kremlin.

Need More Proof Progressivism is not Very Progressive

Economist Stephen Moore writes in his column at IBD that blue states of America are in a depression. He didn't mean the collective funk of Hillary fans because they lost the election to Donald Trump. He's talking about an economic malaise in the blue states that went for Hillary Clinton.  Moore called them the “loser states.” They're all “progressive.” They have high tax rates, high welfare payments, heavy regulation, environmental “extremism” and very high minimum wages. Most of them have laws against drilling for oil or any kind of fossil fuels.

Of the ten states that Democrats won by the largest margins, California, Massachusetts, Vermont, Hawaii, Maryland, New York, Illinois, Rhode Island, New Jersey and Connecticut, all lost domestic migration (excluding immigration) between 2004 and 2014. Nearly 2.75 million more Americans left California and New York than migrated to those states.

“The whole left-wing playbook is on display in the Clinton states, and people are leaving in droves. Day after day, they are being bled to death. So much for liberalism creating a worker’s paradise.”

Looking at the ten states that had the largest percentage vote for Trump, Moore says eight of them – Wyoming, West Virginia, Oklahoma, North Dakota, Kentucky, Tennessee, South Dakota and Idaho – had population gains.

"This is part and parcel of one of the greatest internal migration waves in American history, as blue states, especially in the Northeast, are getting clobbered by their low-tax, smaller-government rivals in the South and the mountain regions.

The job gains in the “Red States” that Trump won by the widest margins has twice the job creation of the “Blue States” that Hillary won big in.

It's easy to understand why people might want to leave gray and rusting New York. But California? California has, arguably, the most beautiful weather, mountains and beaches in the country, and yet people keep fleeing the state that is supposed to be a progressive utopia. What doesn't make California and New York paradise is the high cost of living — thanks to expensive environmental regulations, forced union policies and income tax rates that are the highest in the nation, at 13% or more. 

Florida and Texas are right-to-work states with no income tax. Is it really a shocker that people would choose zero income tax over 13%? New York politicians know that their record-high tax rates are killing growth, which is why the state is spending millions of dollars on TV ads across the country trying to convince people that New York has low taxes. Sure. And Chicago is crime-free.

Even when it comes to income inequality, blue states fare worse than red states. According to a 2016 report by the Economic Policy Institute, three of the states with the largest gaps between rich and poor are those progressive icons New York, Connecticut and Massachusetts." -  Read More

What is the lesson? In our ecomonic system, taxing your population at high rates doesn't work. It results in slower growth and only benefits the rich and politically well-connected at the expense of everyone else.

Who Cares If Your Not Time's Person of the Year When You're Moses

After failing to take the White House, a place she felt she deserved, Hillary Clinton has lost out on another honor that was supposed to be hers. Time Magazine has named Donald Trump “The Person of The Year.” And while the President-elect was named the most influential person of 2016, you wouldn’t know it by the accompanying article. Left-leaning Time slams Trump as a “huckster” and a “demagogue,” reserving all of the praise for Hillary who they call “an American Moses.”

Time loves Hillary Clinton so much and it kills them that she lost the election. It’s surprising that they didn’t go ahead and name her POTY anyway, but they more than made up for it in her profile. The magazine excuses all of Hillary’s failings, blaming a media that hasn’t been fair to her. All of this culminates with this puke-inducing assessment:

"In her 1969 commencement address to her class at Wellesley College, Clinton called politics “the art of making what appears to be impossible possible.” In this, she has succeeded. Like an American Moses, she was an imperfect prophet, leading women to the edge of the Promised Land. Now it’s up to another woman to enter it."

Well, they are kind of right about Hillary making the impossible possible. No one gave Donald Trump a snowball’s chance in Hell of winning the presidency, but thanks to Hillary’s terrible campaign and overall scumminess, he’s the President-elect.

As for the Moses thing? Not so much. Moses led the Israelites out of slavery in Egypt to the Promised Land. Along the way, he escaped the Pharaoh’s army by parting the Red Sea. In order for this to be an appropriate analogy, Moses would have led the Israelites from the Promised Land into bondage in Egypt. Also, there would have been no roadblocks along the way and Moses would still have managed to find a way to screw it up.

Had Hillary won the presidency, there would have been another similarity: she would have unleashed a wave of plagues across the land. Instead of water into blood, frogs, lice, flies, disease, boils, hail of fire, locusts, darkness, and infant death, Hillary would have brought liberalism, progressivism, socialism, fascism, cronyism, hypocrisy, corruption, deceit, rape, and bullshit raining from the sky. We would have envied Egypt.  

The only similarities between Moses and Hillary are that they are both old and have wandered around aimlessly for 40 years.

Memo to Time Magazine:

Make Hillary Time's Person of the Year

For the sake of your corporation, and its reputation, 

Time should name Hillary its Person of the Year.

Get it all out in the open.  Let the staff praise her like "Saturday Night Live" did in that "Hallelujah" opening. The cast had not been as somber since its first post 9/11 show.

Publish those paeans to her that your staff giddily wrote in anticipation of her coronation. It's OK.

This award will be therapeutic and profitable. While a plurality of American citizens elected Trump, a plurality of American residents voted for her. They'll buy copies, sure.

This award will cement Hillary's place as a stepping stone for that future First Woman President -- likely a Republican -- who will break that mythical glass ceiling.

This award will finally show the world once and for all the anti-conservative bias of Time-Warner and all its properties, including CNN. Embrace it. In fact, use it as a marketing tool.

No one will be surprised.

You see the big problem with the media is that it lies to the public about its bias. In so doing, the staff of Time and the rest show a contempt for the people they lie to. Americans are insulted. Media credibility is so low it no longer exists except in the heads of a smaller number of people than believe the moon landing was fake.

Come out of the closet. Show some Caitlyn Jenner courage.

Be who you are. Liberal. 

Trump won't mind. Oh he will Tweet of course. But look what happened to Merkel. After you bypassed The Donald for her a year ago, Germany went to pot. I do not want that for my country.

Hillary is a good choice all the way around. Her life cannot get worse, and America will be spared the Curse of Time's Person of the Year.

Dems Don’t Want “A New Direction”

Examiner - House minority leader Nancy Pelosi downplayed problems with the Democratic Party, saying that the party's values "unify us."

"I don't think that people want a new direction," Pelosi said on CBS' "Face the Nation" on Sunday. "Our values are supporting working families. What we want is a better connection of our message to working families." Pelosi's appearance came a few days after she was re-elected by Democrats to serve another term as House minority leader, beating back a challenge from Rep. Tim Ryan, D-Ohio.

Host John Dickerson said that Democrats have been clobbered at every level since 2008, which Pelosi attributed to natural reactions to the party that holds the White House.

"We went up so high in 2006 and 2008 and let me put that in perspective," she said. "When [Bill] Clinton was elected Republicans came in big in the next election."

Here she is. A woman who in spite of handing the House back to the Republicans years ago under her leadership, and after yet another bruising election for the Democrats which really has rendered the Dems almost a regional party, remains at the head of the party. Almost Castro style at this point. The identity politics that has so defined the Democrats over the past 15 years or so has failed. But Ms. Pelosi still thinks it’s a winning strategy. She knows nothing else. Maybe she's less interested in building a majority than in having a safe space.

Trump Tweets and Drives the Media Crazy

Of the many tradition-breaking moments in the last election, one has been the colossal use of Twitter by President-elect Donald Trump that drove the media crazy. He was at it again over the weekend, this time messaging his thoughts on companies that depart the US for abroad, taking American jobs with them. The Washington Post headlined it this way: 

Trump threatens 35 percent tariff on U.S. companies that move jobs overseas

The pronouncements came in a string of early morning tweets. Trump declared that he intends to incentivize businesses to stay in America by lowering corporate taxes and slashing regulations, two key components of his economic agenda. But he also warned that companies with offshore factories would face a 35 percent tariff on goods sold back to the United States.

Notice this line: “The pronouncements came in a string of early morning tweets.” The online version of the Post re-published the images of the tweets as well, all time stamped between 6:41 and 6:57 am Sunday morning.Trump is a regular early riser, so there is no reason to think anything other than that the newly-elected president was already at his Trump Tower desk at work.

But the fact that Trump turned Twitter and tweeting into such a deadly 21st century political weapon in his successful campaign -- a campaign that right up until election night most media savants were insisting he would lose and most probably lose in a landslide -- has stuck in the media’s craw. Tweeting, you see, is “un-presidential” according to these critics, drawing comments like this one back in 2015 in the anti-Trump USA Today:

“Are American voters really looking for a president who spends his evenings sending out nasty and petty tweets about journalists rather than, say, working on ways to defeat the Islamic State?”

That "Doesn't have he have something better to do than rip the media?" line continues today. Aside from the idiocy of suggesting that a President Trump would not be “working on ways to defeat” ISIS, the real irritant in that story was that Trump was using Twitter to target journalists who quite clearly had targeted him.

Smart presidents presented with a brand new and effective communication technology quickly picked up on it and turned it to their political and presidential use. John F. Kennedy did this with television.

While Hillary Clinton will not be president, it is worth noting that what helped bring her down was another modern technology tool…e-mail. Now comes President-elect Trump, following the path of Lincoln, FDR and JFK, using the newest 21st century communication tool - Twitter. And like those three historic predecessors, he is using it with great political effectiveness.

The media's metrics for victory were wrong. Trump's were right. Which, one suspects is exactly what drives the media crazy. Make no mistake. No matter how “restrained” the new president will be once in office come January, you can make book that he has found a highly effective method to get around the mainstream media that so despises him.

All of which will just make the media that much more relentless and make them despise him all the more.......

Jimmy Carter Urges Barack Obama to Divide Up Israel at the United Nations Before Jan. 20

In a stunning editorial for the New York Times, former President Jimmy Carter has publicly called for Barack Obama to seek to divide the land of Israel at the United Nations before Inauguration Day.

While president, Carter negotiated peace between Israel and Egypt, and ever since, he has been a very strong advocate for a Palestinian state. Carter is completely convinced that a “two-state solution” will bring lasting peace to the Middle East, but now that Donald Trump has been elected, Carter knows that his dream of seeing a Palestinian state while he is still alive is rapidly slipping away. In a desperate attempt to salvage the situation, Carter is urging Barack Obama to take bold action while he still has the power to do so.

In his New York Times editorial, one of the steps Carter says Obama should take is to give formal U.S. diplomatic recognition to a Palestinian state.

"I am convinced that the United States can still shape the future of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict before a change in presidents, but time is very short. The simple but vital step this administration must take before its term expires on Jan. 20 is to grant American diplomatic recognition to the state of Palestine, as 137 countries have already done, and help it achieve full United Nations membership....."

Of course such a move would largely just be window dressing. The new Trump administration could very quickly revoke diplomatic recognition, and so if Barack Obama really wanted to "leave a legacy" in the Middle East he would have to do something that Donald Trump would not be able to undo. 

Later on in his editorial, Carter suggested just such a thing. He urged Obama to support a U.N. Security Council resolution that would set forth firm parameters for resolving the conflict between the Israelis and the Palestinians.

"The Security Council should pass a resolution laying out the parameters for resolving the conflict. It should reaffirm the illegality of all Israeli settlements beyond the 1967 borders, while leaving open the possibility that the parties could negotiate modifications. Security guarantees for both Israel and Palestine are imperative, and the resolution must acknowledge the right of both the states of Israel and Palestine to live in peace and security. Further measures should include the demilitarization of the Palestinian state, and a possible peacekeeping force under the auspices of the United Nations......"

Over in Israel, the government has been ignoring Carter's anti-Israel rants for years, and they have also responded to this latest editorial by Carter with silence. Carter's criticism of Israel over the years has become increasingly scathing and one-sided.  - Read More
